  • Product Description
  • Disease Overview

Epidemic Japanese encephalitis is a severe zoonotic vector-borne viral disease caused by the Japanese encephalitis virus (JEV). Multiple animal species are susceptible, with mosquitoes serving as the primary transmission vector of JEV.
Swine act as the principal natural reservoirs forviral replication, spread, and infection. Infection with JEV in pigs can lead to swine encephalitis, abortion in pregnant sows, reproductive disorders, and orchitis in boars. Vaccination remains the most effective measure for controlling this disease.

    Encephalitis B Prevention and Control

The primary prevention and control measures for Japanese encephalitis are mosquito eradication and vaccination. Affected pig farms may implement the following measures:
·Immediate isolation and implementation of protective measures upon onset of illness can reduce mortality and promote recovery.
·The fetuses and placenta of aborted sows should be promptly disposed of through harmless methods.
·Conduct mosquito eradication efforts to eliminate and control vector species.
·Currently, there is no specific therapeutic agent for this disease. Symptomatic treatment and antimicrobial therapy can be administered based on clinical manifestations, which are crucial for shortening the disease course and preventing secondary infections.

    Characteristics and Advantages of Yikeqing

This product is a freeze-dried live vaccine prepared by culturing Vero-B10 passage cells with the attenuated SA14-14-2 strain. The SA14-14-2 attenuated strain exhibits broad-spectrum antigenicity and immunogenicity, demonstrates zero virulence in the brains of mice and young rhesus monkeys, and shows no neurotoxicity in pigs. Compared to inactivated vaccines, it induces stronger specific cellular immune responses, with higher seropositivity rates for neutralizing antibodies and longer-lasting immunity. The immunization duration is 9 months for sows and 6 months for boars.

·SA14-14-2 is a attenuated strain derived from human vaccine strains, characterized by high safety profile and excellent immunogenicity.
·propagated in Vero cell lines, eliminating the risk of exogenous viral contamination; ensuring product purity and consistent quality control.
·The high-sensitivity clonal cell line Vero-B10 was cultured with an antiviral content of no less than 107.5 PFU/mL.
·The viral load was determined using the international standard (PFU) method, yielding precise results and demonstrating uniform and stable viral content in all vaccines.

    Product Usage Instructions

Administration method: Intramuscular injection. Administer the specified dose as indicated on the vial label, diluted with vaccine diluent to a concentration of 1 unit/mL. For sows and boars aged 6–7 months, administer 1 mL 20–30 days prior to mating; alternatively, administer 1 mL in April–May (before the mosquito and fly breeding season). In tropical regions, administer 1 mL every six months.
